December: Creator of The Month @weekendcraft

We are beyond excited to announce that our December Creator of the Month is Michelle! Also known as @weekendcraft, Michelle is wonderful creator to check out and follow, especially during the holiday season. Michelle inspires her followers with crafts, DIY projects, recipes, and so much more! Check out Michelle and her wonderful story below. 

Michelle has always been a creative individual. Michelle has an extensive background in graphic design where she received her masters in graphic design from Savannah College of Art and Design! Through her love for graphic design, Michelle found a deep appreciation for letterings, designs, and eye-catching patterns. Michelle is constantly inspired by other artists and creatives like Aaron Draplin, Becca Clason, Lily and Val and Bari J. 

Additionally, Michelle started her own blog 10 years ago! Michelle explained, "I was selling at craft shows making signs and refinishing furniture. I kept getting asked how I was creating certain pieces so I decided to document it on a blog. I really just did it at first for family and friends. I never thought millions of people would read it. A few months into blogging I bought my first die cutting machine and it truly opened up the world of crafting to me." Michelle truly embodies making her passion into a business!

Michelle loves utilizing t-shirts and apparel for her various projects. Michelle described, "I first got a cutting machine about 10 years ago. I started with paper crafts, mostly card making and then I discovered my love for iron-on vinyl. I went from making a few shirts every couple months. To owning a heat press and customizing shirts almost weekly for friends and family. In the last 2 years I've started to learn sublimation the options now seem endless." Team CSO absolutely loves tuning in and seeing what wonderful creations she comes up with. Michelle particularly loves using Next Level Apparel for her projects! She loves how inclusive the sizing is as well as the softness of the t-shirts. 

As you can see, Michelle is an incredible artist and crafter. We are so thankful to have Michelle be a part of the CSO fam. We can't wait to see what you create next, Michelle!
